Synopsis

Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri (in a parallel universe called Akhand Bharat), HanuMan follows Hanumanthu (Teja Sajja), a carefree petty thief and underdog who lives with his protective sister Anjamma (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar). The village is oppressed by the ruthless local strongman Gajapathi. Hanumanthu has been in love with the educated doctor Meenakshi (Amritha Aiyer) since childhood. When Meenakshi returns to the village and stands up against corruption and injustice, she becomes a target, putting her life in danger. While trying to save her from attackers, Hanumanthu is gravely injured and falls into the sea. There, he discovers a mysterious ancient gem (totem/Rudra Mani) submerged underwater, which grants him the immense powers of Lord Hanuman – super strength, agility, and more. Empowered, Hanumanthu defeats Gajapathi and liberates the village from fear. However, his newfound abilities attract the attention of Michael (Vinay Rai), a power-obsessed villain obsessed with superheroes since childhood, who seeks the source of Hanumanthu's strength for his own nefarious purposes. As Michael closes in, Hanumanthu must embrace his role as a true hero, fighting to protect Anjanadri and prevent the powers from falling into the wrong hands. The story culminates in an epic confrontation, blending action, emotion, and devotion, with a climax that teases larger mythological forces awakening (setting up the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe).
